People present themselves in their truest selves when doing what they were meant to be. Athletes, musicians, artists, dancers and other performers are in the middle of giving all they can give when I take that photo. They present themselves to the world.

Events bring people and places together. You combine the scene with content and communicate something larger. Weather it is singing or a bike race.
My day job has me working right off of Riverside Park of La Crosse, WI. Being right off of the Mississippi River, I have many different photo ops of people, birds, river life, and outdoor festivals.
I also find myself in places such as Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Wisconsin North Woods, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Western Wisconsin and down to North Western Illinois areas frequently. You might call this part of fly-over country, but being in this smaller pond of people makes it easier to become a bigger fish.
